We test the usability of websites, mobile apps, wearables and IoT devices for users in Hong Kong, Singapore and other Asian countries.
If you think your website should have higher sales, that your product should have greater uptake, or you want save yourself from developing a dud product, our user testing can help you.
The earlier you test, the less you need to invest in making changes.
We can slot in to both agile and waterfall development processes, and our testing methods can improve the usability of your product at any stage: from wireframing and rapid prototyping through to modifying live products or services.
This can be done using wireframes, prototypes or the finished product. With this form of usability testing, a researcher observes a person using the product or site and asks questions to understand why they decide to take the actions they do.
Remote user testing is a budget-friendly option. It lets you test your product or website faster than face-to-face testing, and is especially good for validating design decisions.
This usability testing method (sometimes called reverse card sorting) assesses how logical users find the the product categories or topics you are using, or plan to use, in your app, website or product.
We can do any form of user testing on your competitors’ products or sites. This can give you insights into what works well for them, and where you could do better to take a bigger market share.
Following testing, our UX researcher will provide research deliverables based on your needs. This could be a topline report, a detailed report highlighting the issues and listing recommendations for improvements, a presentation and discussion session, or videos to demonstrate design issues.
We can adapt our methods for your budget. Even testing usability with just five people can help you make design decisions that result in users choosing your site, app or service over your competitors’. You could also consider an expert review, which draws on our experience of user testing other people’s products.

What we did
Usability testing, Competitive analysis, quantitative benchmarking
How it worked
Because the buyers who use the company’s website and apps are from all over the world, the best place to test as wide a range of them as possible was at one of the company’s trade shows. Using guerilla testing tactics we “ambushed” suitable buyers at the event and conducted testing in our testing booth.
We were able to do different kinds of face-to-face user tests.
These included:
Testing prototypes and newly launched features;
Testing competitor products to identify their strengths and weaknesses before product design commenced; and
Quantitative benchmarking, to enable the company to compare the task completion rates and times of successive versions of the features.
